Is there anything that can be done for one non-working key?

My right Shift key is not working. I tried to clean it but didn;t solve the problem.

So I took a box butter and cut half-way through the plastic cap inside the key (see photo attached)

Is there anything that can be done to revive a key?

I tried isopropanol 99% and a toothbrush on that metal pad visible in the picture, but didn't work.

Hi,

Do not know Apple at all and I'm not sure if this is applicable, but try "remapping" a function key that you do not use, to perform the shift function.

Here is a link that may be of some help.
