iPhone 5G Itunes Sign

hello friends,

i changed lcd on an iphone 5g. i left the iphone 5 on the table for about 3 weeks.

battery was of course empty.

when i try to charge it shows me "the connect to itunes sign"

changed the battery and restored it via itunes, same issue.

i cannot put it in dfu mode, dont know why.

It's one of three things. Either the power button, the home button, or your timing. The easiest part to replace, or check on, of these would be the home button. Make sure the contacts on the home button cable look good, and also the contacts on the Lightning dock. You should be able to use the power button, to turn it off and on, to rule that out

but if the home or power button doesnt work, the iphone should work anyway.

Your stuck in dfu. Sort of. If it says connect to iTunes, you should just be able to plug it into your pc, and restore the phone. However it may not be possible, without you putting it into dfu. Just fixed a 6S+ yesterday. Tried restoring it, wasn't taking, then did a force restart, and got it back

hello imedic,

you was right. i realized that the iphone only shows up the itunes sign when i plug it into usb whether pc or charger it doesnt matter. i realized that the lightning connector is too dirty and the cable doesnt fit well. after i cleaned it up with an tooth pick and connected it to the usb the iphones begins to start and shows me "hello" press home button to unlock etc.

problem is like you said before: neither the power nor the home button is working. so u i am not able to unlock it.

what is the next step?

im little bit confused, because the iphone works perfectly before, after it put it aside for 3 weeks this happens.

sounds like a mainboard issue or is it possible to get this phone working?

thank you very much! best regards

If you want to put it into dfu, you need the home and power button working. I suggest you replace those parts, so you can do that
