Sim card reader not working?

Seen this issue several times in our shop. usually a new sim port fixes the issue. seems to be a manufacture defect. unfortunately samsung wont help of course. So can any of you? Replaced and still not working. no damage has come to the phone. jsut went out. any ideas? thanks? tried new sim as well.

Did you check if the phone has an IMEI present or not?

yes it does have an imei

What exactly is the error the phone reports? Have you tried a different SIM card or getting a new SIM card?

Yes i tried that, the phone just says no SIM inserted. Like it doesn't "see" it.
