Digitizer not working properly.

I replaced my LCD and digitizer today and now the screen is unresponsive at times and needs to be pressed hard to respond. I've reseated the cables and it seems fine at first but always reverts back to its unresponsive state after a bit of use.

@tylerm_c Before replacing it try cleaning the screen contacts with IP alcohol. There could be small partials of dust in the contact which can cause problems. Use a soft toothbrush to clean in the connector on both the board and the screen side of the connector. The IP alcohol should be a concentrate of at least 90% . You could also inspect the connectors for bent or broken pins. Hope this helps

Hi,

Either a faulty screen or a cheap screen, it needs to be original quality, as the SE has issues with copies etc. try get another replacement, this should solve your issue.

The screen came from ifixit and I've heard they test all the screens. Could it still be a bad screen?

Yes it can happen, with any company they could've sent faulty screens, try get a replacement, if another screen doesn't work it will more than likely be an issue with the touch IC on the logic board.
