Should I buy a screen replacement from eBay?

Hi all, I have been looking through the forum but could not find the answer. I live in the UK and am looking to replace the screen myself on the iPhone 6, ready for sale. It is not worth doing unless I can spend under £40.

If anyone can help me choose a good screen, or let me know that these screens are not worth it, that would be great.

Furthermore I have replaced the screen on 2 phones, but the iPhone 6 is the newest and I feel lost finding a screen replacement. The skill is there though.

The majority of screens from a marketplace like eBay and Amazon will not be good quality. A lot of sellers do not repair devices and therefore do not know the quality of the screens they are selling. Most sellers just buy batches at the cheapest price they can and resell them at the cheapest price they can (due to the amount of competition from other sellers doing the same thing).

Google "sell broken iPhone screens" and contact the companies which come up. These companies refurbish original broken screens and usually use original quality glass and bezels, which means quality is good (if done properly). They will have excess stock for you to buy, and I guarantee the quality will be better since they are using an original LCD instead of a chinese copy LCD.

I agree with the possibility of low quality. Amazon customer reviews for 1 to 3 stars normally tell the truth about the item being sold.

You can purchase one for around £30.

I know you likely already found the answer to the problem at hand, considering the fact that it was 2 years ago, but the best way to go about shopping for a replacement screen is by buying refurbished screens. They’re usually the same price or slightly more expensive than the cheap replacement screens, but they’re of great quality because they’re genuine apple displays that have had the glass replaced.
