Pro Tech Toolkit - not quite right...

Hi,

I've been given the Pro Tech Toolkit for Christmas - it's a fantastic selection, and the quality is mostly great too.

I've only used it a couple of times since receiving it - and I've noticed a couple of oddities with mine.

Firstly, the velcro on the satchel, has not been placed in the correct location, so, when closed, the 2 pieces can not possibly meet, so the toolkit doesn't stay closed.

The second issue, is with the "sim ejector" tool. It just does not work with my iPhone 6 Plus. I notice there is a slight taper on the tool - when inserting it into the phone, the thickness of the tool becomes too wide for the hole, before the tool properly activates the internal ejection lever. The Sim tray ejects about half a millimeter, but not enough to grab on to. Certainly not properly ejected. I still have to use a paperclip.

How is everyone else's experience with this?

Thanks!

Paper clip technically should be larger than any SIM card eject tool. No idea how you are even using that as even a safety pin is smaller in diameter.

Hi Ben, not quite sure what you mean. My trusty paper clip is exactly the same diameter as the tool, at the tip. However the sim eject tool tapers towards the tip - so once you push it in a little, it's actually alot wider than Mr. Paperclip.

i just used the sim-ejector in this very kit on the very phone he's talking about. it worked fine. he was probably using it wrong. the pointy end goes in the hole

Thanks Mayer - I just wanted to avoid shipping back the part, only to have it replace with one identical :) hopefully I just got a dud, and everybody else's is different to mine.

Just ask them to check it before they ship, these guys are really nice people.

My Velcro could be placed better too, but my SIM ejector works well!
