Can the keyboard be replaced out of warranty?

My warranty coverage expires in February of this year (2017) and I worry that the keyboard may fail (considering it's essentially the only moving part on this machine..) I'm wondering if the keyboard can be replaced out of warranty?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Yes it is.

Once the logic board has been removed, you can peel back the keyboard backit.

After that, it's only a matter of remove a few dozen screws/rivets holding the keyboard to the top case.

You can buy replacement keyboard from eBay for less than $25.

Thank you very much for your insight. I don't think it's a repair I would consider doing myself-- but it sure is great to know that it CAN be done. If the need ever arises, there are a few local authorized repair guys around me I'm sure can do the job. Thank you again for your quick response and insight!
