Is storing batteries in the fridge good or bad?

What is the best way to store new battery packages for the long term? Should they be kept in the fridge?

@irvnit , Irving Nitkin, Some batteries like Primary cell may benefit at being stored at 0°C to 10°C is preferable to avoid freezing of the aqueous electrolyte, see 1st link for the different type battery storage recommendations.This is info from energizer battery 2nd link below, Do practice proper battery storage by keeping batteries in a cool, dry place at normal room temperature. It’s not necessary to store batteries in a refrigerator. Click on the link's for more good battery info.. Good luck.
