Why isn't my camera taking photos?

I'm not sure what's happening with my fujifilm instax mini 8. My mom dropped it really hard so I'm assuming something broke, but there's no visible damage. When I go to take a photo the little red dot that lights up over the icons (house, cloud, sun, etc) starts flashing in all of the icons (maybe that means there's something wrong with the lens/lighting?) I tried swtiching the batteries and film, it's still doing the same thing! :(
