Can I buy a replacement power inlet?

Where the power inlet plugs into the device the small piece that is inside has been snapped off, is it possible to replace this?

Hi,

It is possible to have the charge port replaced, however if you wish to do it yourself, you need SMD (surface mounted devices) soldering tools, the expertise to do it properly and know exactly which replacement part is required. There are a lot a USB connectors available, getting the one with the correct configuration is a must.

Here is a link to a video showing how it is done on a Fire tablet. The principle of replacing the charge port is the same for your model.

I recommend that you contact three reputable, professional electronics or mobile phone repair services and ask for a quote to repair your device. I suggest three as this way if all the quotes are close in their estimated repair costs that you will have a true idea of the actual cost to repair your tablet.
