What is the exact way to replace the power button?

i was replacing my iphones audio jack, and everything went well. but when i go to put the power button back and screw back the housing for the power button. i noticed that the power button would not come back out when i pushed it in. so i simply need help on just how to place the power button in properly.

Options

The silver ring on the back of the power button sits in a slight indentation in back case. The silver ring is down. Don't over tighten your screws on plate at end of flex as this may be why there is no spring. Try loosening your screws first !
