Dregs and Descale blinks alternatively

Hello,

This is not a question, this is an auto-answer to one of my problems that is being asked over and over again.

Sympthom: Coffemaker stops working, after power up, the machine starts heating and then two red icons blinks in alternative: Dregs icon and Descaling icon.

It happend to my coffemaker 2 times and 2 times it was in a service. For the 3rd time i disassembled machine and started searching.

The problem is easy, one or both thermostas are in "failure" position. Those two are cylindric things on the top of the boiler on left side of machine. Between contacts there is small square button that needs to be pushed in. The fuse is the square thing betweend contacts on the thermostate.

To determine which one is "blown" - use a multimeter and check resistance. On both thermostats there should be no connectio between two pins (0 Ohm). If there is >0 - this fuse is blown and you need to push the fuse inside to make it work again.

This easy fix helped me my coffe maker works again.
