Jason Carvalho26 , (((Do not submerge in water))) actually water resistant more then water proof. See the links below, testing the phone, how water resistant is it really. Good luck.

Never is. Never was. I don't think it even has a decent amount of water resistance.

Dunk the bottom half of the phone in water and RIP headphone jack, lightning port and loudspeaker all at the same time.

Yes that is how bad the 'supposedly water resistance' on this phone is.

It was designed to be waterproof, but it didn't hold up to what it was supposed to be.

@pccheese, it was designed to be water resistant, not water proof. There are subtle differences. Consumers do not make that distinction and that is how the device gets destroyed. Not an Apple issue, but a user error.

I am not arguing with you, because I agree completely, but this is what I read from cnet.com (quote): "Apple's support page clearly states that liquid damage is still not included in the one-year limited warranty. According to the rating of iP67, the phone can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for a maximum of 30 minutes, but anything over that may cause permanent damage to the phone."

That is correct and that is what tech-writers do:-) Check on Apple's own website. It is advertised as water resistance.

Seals. It's mechanical engineering 101, why is it hard to understand?

Why is this funny? A seal dies with each iPhone 7!

The simplicity of your answer is funny in an amusing way. To bad about the seal that has to die.....
