Monitor is having trouble staying on.

I'm having trouble turning on my monitor. Each time i go to do so after an extended time (at least 1-2 hours) The display will turn on for a moment then go black. after repeatedly turning it off then back on, it will eventually stay on, but before hand will have varying very short periods of being on before going black. (from practically no time to about 10 or so seconds.) Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

The caps do look like the tops are bulged on a few, and the coverings on some are pretty messed up

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Look slike they are domed. I'd replace those and re-evaluate. Make sure that you get some high quality caps....Not sure what the temperature rating on the ones that are domed is but make sure it's 105deg rating.

Ben Kynelongtail this could be cause by failed/failing capacitors on your power board. You would have to disassemble the monitor and post some images of it with your question. Use this guide for that. It will allow us to see what you see.
