What, what do you mean discharges? It just runs out of power? Where did you get it from? Maybe you could get the supplier to exchange it for a new one

Most likely he got one of those batteries that look new but are actually repackaged used batteries with the battery gas gauge board which is at the bottom of the battery.
These batteries are usually 60-70% battery life of a brand new battery. Very hard to get good iPhone batteries.
