Kernel_task making my laptop sluggish

Hello everyone! My laptop has been really sluggish this month. I seriously don't know what happened.

First, this happened last week of November - figured out how to make it work fast again.

First week of December, I played a video from an online streaming site. From then on, my laptop has been really sluggish and really slow.

I never spilled anything on it.

Attached is the Activity Monitor window that I took a photo of.

I did that and it's still the same.

I went out for 3 hours, logged back on, looked at my Activity Monitor and kernel_task was at 3.2% but it went back to 300% in a snap :/

Do you know any solution to this?

Thank you.
