I replaced my AUX port in my iPhone and soon after the service, i found my battery decreasing twice as fast. I gave it to the official apple service centre and they found no issue with the battery. what is it that I am missing.

Do you mean the Headphone jack as part of the Lightning Port Assembly?
Assuming you didn't do anything wrong while disassembling and re-assembling your device, you probably a poor quality Lightning Port. Small parts are well known to be hit or miss from a quality perspective. Can you test it in another device or get your hands a another Lightning port?

It is possible. Why did you replace it in the first place? Was it because of the battery drain or something else?
If the original problem had nothing to do with battery drain, I would put it back in to see if the problem persists.
