Won't power on but would drain the battery

After installing windows 10 on sierra beta when it came out (5 months ago) my mac has been acting completely strange. It worked perfectly fine until I shut it down. Once I shut it down it wouldn't turn on no matter what I try to do. I had tried all kinds of reset and everything to no avail. So I just let it sit and finally after the battery got drained completely so a couple of months later! It again turned on when connected to power and to my surprise everything worked I even updated it to the latest software update that I could see. Worked great for a day and even restarts worked no matter how many times I restarted it worked like there were no issues. And then I had the genius idea to shut down and boom same problem. Now it seems completely dead just like before but I can still see that the battery is getting drained because after putting it in upright position the charger goes from green to ember showing its charging until it completely charges.

As this happened right after installing windows 10 dual boot I am inclined to believe this was a software issue possibly with sierra beta but what do you think could be the issue here?

I can't honestly say what the problem is, however maybe try using a virtual machine for Windows 10 rather than dual boot maybe? You will see a difference in performance. However it should have no problem with restarts and what not...

I would if I could turn it on. It wont turn on until the battery is drained COMPLETELY which may easily take a month.

Does the mac still make the restart noise? Also have you tried reseting the NVRAM and an SMC reset? I'm assuming that the screen stays dark the whole time. But if the processor can still activate and receive commands....

Also if it does make the start up chime, you could try target disk mode with another Mac if you, or a mate, has one.

None of the reset shows sign of life. The only sign of life is the constant battery drain while the mac seems completely shut down. I wanted to try target disk mode however, it doesn't even make a startup chime for me to do that.

even though what you did was a software thing, this sounds suspiciously like a hardware problem actually. Or a very annoying software problem. However the fact that if you let it drain completely makes it definitely seem software related as that means something in the system needs to lose power to switch back on. Maybe after it drains completely try reinstalling OS X maybe.

I have a genius bar appointment tomorrow I was hoping to find out some information beforehand so I can tell these "geniuses" to try to find a solution and not just slap me with a $300 depot repair replacing everything.
