Need to find a driver for this printer

I've had this printer, the HP Deskjet 3845, for many years and it still works. I had to upgrade my computer and this time I can't find a driver. The guy I bought the replacement computer from is searching my old hard drive for a driver, but it occurred to me that there might be other people still using this printer who have the driver available. HP no longer will provide a driver, although...you can still buy the ink cartridges...and that makes no sense to me.

Any suggestions or solutions?

If the person who has your old computer or hard drive would look in '''windows /program files '''they find the driver for your printer. If they find it , they should copy it to a flash drive. You can then download it to you r new computer. I have check some website for a solution to your problem. There are websites that have the drivers for your printer. Most of them want you to download their software for a cost. I looks like your printer is rather old and according to HP they do not support products that are ten years old or older. I might suggest that it is time to invest in a new printer. Depending on what you use your printer for and frequency you r investment in a new printer may be cost effective. If new is not in you budget, you might want to look on Amazon or E bay for a good late model printer. Hope this helps.

Hi

Try the following, if you haven't already done so.

Go to Start > Devices and Printers > right click on your printer > select ''Printer Properties ''(not Properties) > Advanced > New Driver > When the Wizard open select next > Find and select your printer from the list > Windows Update and follow the prompts.
