Battery clip ( that hole in the middle of battery )

Hello! There is a hole in the middle of battery on my macbook air 13 2015, nsext to the middle battery screw. Inside that hole is a clip. This clip is suposed to be moving inside the hole or is a fixed part? Here is a picture of battery : https://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/ig...

That hole is used to align the metal cover for under the MacBook Air.
