The AC Adapter light on my computer works (white light) but the power button doesn't do anything.
What I've already tried:
-Holding down the power button
-Taking out the battery
Help me please? All solutions welcome!
My exact Computer model is HP Pavilion Sleekbook15 b153cl and I (ran) a Windows 8 operating system

Hi,
Just verifying that you removed the adapter, removed the battery, then held down the power button for 30 seconds, then reconnected the adapter which is then switched on (leave the battery out at this stage) and then tried to start the laptop, Is this what you meant when you said "holding down the Power button and taking out the battery"?
If not try it.
If it starts, allow it to boot all the way to the Windows desktop, wait until the HDD activity settles down, then shutdown the laptop in the normal manner.
Once it has fully shutdown, switch off and remove the AC adapter, reinsert the battery, reconnect and switch on the AC adapter and then try to start your laptop again.
If it starts allow it to boot all the way to the Windows desktop. Check the battery charging status. If it is charging allow it to fully charge before switching off and disconnecting the AC adapter.

Try reseating the ram (take out and put back in), this is often the fix for this kind of issue.

I will try this after I am confident there are no solutions that I can try without dismantling the laptop
