Alba Tv takes ages to turn on but turns itself on randomly
My Alba TV takes a very long time to turn on from standby (using both remote and side button on the TV both have the same problem). The standby light will flash for at least 5 minutes (often longer) before the TV comes on.
HOWEVER
The TV turns itself on randomly during times of not use (eg when no one is in or at night).
I have replaced the batteries in the remote and this hasn't fixed the problem.

diddiwench sounds like an issue with your power board. Remove the back and take plenty of good pictures that you can post with your question. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. It will allow us to see what you see. Also, give us as much information like model number chassis number etc. from your TV. It is a bit off brand and may be difficult to find parts for it.
