iPhone 4s digitilizer too short

I am replacing the screen on an iphone 4s for my first time and i have started putting the new screen in, i slid the digitilized through and put everything together but it is too short and won't reach the motherboard, i have seen many posts saying that you just havnt gotten the whole chord through the hole, well im pretty sure that the whole chord is through and wont budge anymore, here are some images of what i am dealing with.

Can you take a picture of the screen cable (with screen off phone) in a brighter environment?

It seems like part of the digitizer ribbon cable well the start of it from the digitizer itself has been glued or stuck onto the glass. You will have to be very careful in pulling or separating it from the glue as it is very easy to tear or rip the cable.

I know what this is. When pulling the two cables through the little hole, it's very frustrating I assure you, there's a small tab like ribbon further down, that needs to be pulled through the hole, with the other two cables

Yeah. The ribbon is at the very top. Just above your finger. When you're pulling the cables through the hole, that folded ribbon needs to be pulled through also. I usually use a small tool, like a flathead, or a nylon pry tool, and get that to come through at the same time, before you close the display against the frame

I'm able to route the iPhone 4 digitizer ribbon cable through via hand with ease but that comes with experience.

My method is to angle the screen to make it easier for the whole cable to go through fully.

I pull the digitizer cable gently after I slowly align the ribbon flex to go through without that weird folded tab getting stuck behind the hole.

If that weird part looks bent due to being squished between the glass and iPhone frame then you will need to flatten it to fit through the hole easily again take care when doing this.

I used to do it via some tools like you suggested.

In short do what works best for you.

Comfortability is best. Either way, that tabs gotta get through
