Why will my receiver not power up
my RCA RT2770 receiver when I push on button it comes on displays for few seconds then closes down why?

Rudy Rempel that is usually caused by failed ocmponents on the PSU. You do want to disassemble it and look for obvious damaged components. Post plenty of pitcure of what you find. Use this guide for that. It will allow us to see what you see. BTW service manuals for this equipment are very difficult to find. Just as a heads-up
