After 3 beeps what will happen

The question is that the pc will turn on with three beeps. Then i change the ram slots and remove the graphic card, And put them back as they were. Then the start working as before. I don't understand the problem, Is it the ram or the graphic card?

Hi,

What is the make and model number of your PC?

Go online and search for (make and model of your PC) 3 beeps on start and find out what the 3 beeps mean.

Depending on the BIOS software used e.g. AMI, Phoneix Award etc., the beep codes mean different things

I did that, My BIOS version is AMI. That says that the 64K Ram bit failure, but it is not helpful.

Hi,

It is helpful because it indicates that you may have a faulty memory module. As you have re seated it (them?) try the following:

If you have 2 sticks of RAM remove one and start the PC. If the beeps are still there, turn off the PC and remove the RAM and replace it with the other and then turn on the PC and see if the beeps are still there. If not you have a faulty RAM module, if so then try it again but this time do the whole procedure using the other RAM 'slot' and see what happens. If it is OK now then the first RAM slot you tried is faulty (or dusty - check it with a strong light and magnifying glass).

If you only have 1 RAM module but 2 slots try it in the other slot. If it still fails then try to get another compatible RAM module and see if it works. The User guide should advise you of the RAM modules that are compatible with your PC.
