Replacing screen lid (with apple logo)

I've really scratched up the top lid of my macbook (top of the screen, with the glowing apple logo), but i dont seem to be able to find the casing alone, looks like i'll have to drop $250 on a new screen assembly, anyone heard any different?

Apple does not sell it separately. Your best bet will be to find one one eBay that has a broken screen. You can then sell the internal cables as there is a demand for the display data cable and some for the airport.

Your welcome, sorry I couldn't just direct you to the part but Apple made this choice.

Here's a link for a housing on eBay. This is for MBP but you should ask the seller if they have any for MB. Just make sure you buy the correct one. But mayer has a great point too.

Hope that helps. Good luck with that.
