iPhone Screen Raised at One Side

The screen on my iPhone 3gs is raised at the top and sits above the chrome bezel.

I had removed the screen to fit a new back case and now it will not go back in properly.

I have removed it again and checked to make sure that all the internals are in correctly and not sticking up in any way, but I cannot find anything that might be stopping the screen from going all the way in.

I tried the screen on another phone and it fits in perfectly.

Any ideas?

i'd check that when you put the motherboard in the rear case that you slid the motherboard under the sim slot first and then put dock end of motherboard in. It's a bit tricky, you may have to try a few times.

you can check this by looking in the sim slot from outside and seeing if motherboard is blocking sim slot-in other words you wouldn't be able to insert the sim tray.
