MacBook Air 2012 No boot after lcd assembly replacement

Hi Guys,

I run a repairs company in the UK and I am about stuck with a particular repair im currently doing.

Im changing a macbook air a1466 2012 LCD assembly. Quite straight forward and have done many times previous.

The problem is the macbook wont boot up with the new LCD screen connected and all the other cables. No fan no boot sounds no nothing.

Any techies have an idea ?

Thanks you

Is it working with the old screen fine? I have seen one screen assembly for a MBA 11 before, which was not showing picture until the Macbook was booted into the OS, think it was a dodgy screen since it was working fine with another.

If it works with the original, it is a screen issue. If not, you will need to check the board. Check your charging cable, charger port, etc.
