Completely Replacing an iPhone 4 Frame/Case?

I've got an iPhone 4, all the hardware and software works fine, all the issues with it are to do with the frame/case. While the touch screen works, the glass screen itself is ruined and falling off, the power button is jammed, and the hole for the charger is dented inwards so you have to really fight to push the charger in.

Therefore, I'm looking to transfer everything into a new case/frame (and may potentially swap in a new battery during this). Just looking for some general help and advice on how to do it; What would be the best way to do this? Where would be the best place to get a mid frame from? etc...

To do most of the process: iPhone 4 (GSM/AT&T) Screen Replacement

Just have to transfer the small things across after this. If the glass is coming away from the plastic bezel, you will need a new screen (good quality ones are difficult to come by), mid frame (for dent) and power ribbon (for power button issue).

Personally due to the age of the device, and how long the repair would take (probably 2hr plus if it is your first one) I wouldn't recommend it. Screens are usually bad quality now, and the mid frames (when I was replacing these a year or 2 ago) sometimes had fitting issues or small scratches.

eBay is the only place to get these really, or China. Good luck :)

Thanks.

Do you know if the screens that the ifixit store sell are of any good?

Never tried them, to be honest though, I do not think original ones are sold anymore so it will probably be copy screens

I don't mind if it's not original, so long as it is of decent quality.

It's trial and error. When I used to do phone repairs, I stopped doing iPhone 4's because the screens were very bad quality(from multiple suppliers). Could be different now, but you still might have to return a load of screens to get good ones, just have to look around and talk to suppliers
