Why do I get a black screen everytime I open any app or anything else

I have the ps3 fat and every time I open an app or the playstore, games, demos etc. Also the power supply is ridiculously hot I just redid the thermal paste on the heat sinks it worked fine before I replaced the paste but now idk what's the issue
