Shell replacement soon! Any risks to damage the system mechanics?

Soon, i will disassemble my Game Boy Advance SP. But any risks to break a GBA SP mechanics? Ebay would be good for a shell replacement, but for U.S.A. from China made? The old shell blue color is used and its kinda old. I am not the OO (original owner) of the GBA SP. And also, the screen of the old blue GBA SP has a red line at the middle. Need a new screen and new shell?

color: pearl blue / screen format: AGS-101

Yes, you would need a new screen and shell. There is always a risk when repairing anything, but as long as you are careful it should be fine. I replaced the housing on one of these 3-4 years ago and had no issues, even though it was the first I opened.

I got the housing from eBay (China seller) which was fine. Just check it when you receive it, to make sure there are no marks from handling.
