Google Play keeps popping up when in other applications

Not only id Google popping up when in other applications, i.e. Facebook, (Phone) Messenger. The other problem is that when I swipe to answer a text via the phone app, it crashes a lot and it will jump to some random web site. This is truly frustration. Any help would certainly be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I have not, but if I do will I lose my phone contacts?

Yep. Export them to an SD card / to sim card or make a backup using Samsung software.
