Dropped the GBA SP

I dropped the GBA SP one day and i see a red line on the middle of the screen. Only one. The GBA SP still plays games, and charges, but sometimes the games for the GBA freeze. Can still read Game Boy, Color and Advance games. But with these freezing GBA Games i cant complete Metroid: Zero Mission... Also, the GBA SP i have is used. But in November, i dropped it AGAIN and received no damage, fortunately! What i should do? Should i get a new Game Boy Advance or contact with technical support?

Are you techy at all? If so, you might want to consider replacing the screen yourself. It's pretty easy if you know what you're doing. It is also very possible that when you dropped the handheld, the display cable came loose in its socket and is not connecting properly. To fix this would require you to open in and re-set the cable.

Sadly, i dont have a(n) triwing screwdriver, but i dont have a(n) GBA SP case to dissasemble the used one, and insert ALL the mechanics of the GBA SP. Should i do this?

Also, i am getting a pearl blue shell for the Game Boy Advance SP. Soon, i will dissasemble the old GBA SP and replace mechanics on the new shell
