Serious iPhone 5 battery problem

I have a iPhone 5 that had a battery problem. My screen popped out of its housing because the battery was expanding. I replaced the battery as well as the screen because it had been damaged by the expanding. I bought a new battery from a trusted online store. It's called MyTrendyPhone and operates in Norway where I live. I also bought a screen on eBay.

Everything worked out well and it has lasted for many many months. But know I noticed that ONCE AGAIN the screen is popping out. I suspect the battery is expanding, but I don't understand why. The battery is under one year old and everything has worked out well before now. Does anybody know what this is???

The first battery that expanded was the original battery that came with the phone.

The second battery was bought as mentioned.

(the same battery as i bought from MyTrendyPhone Norway. Original link in Norwegian: http://www.mytrendyphone.no/shop/iphone-...

I just want to know why a almost new battery can expand???

NEW UPDATE 12. DECEMBER

The screen is popping out more and more. But today i noticed that the screen is semi-back to normal. I noticed this after i was out in the cold norwegian weather.

I dont have words... DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING??? PLEASE HELP!!!

hi daniel, i have experience many times like your case of expanding batterys in iphones and other brands of mobile. even you change the battery many times it will expand, it is because your logic board or the mother board of your mobile has a shortage. only a good technician can check your mother board using a power supply. hope it helps you.

by

how do you know that if the mother board has a shortage and if it has, what to do to fix it???

by

Are you using original charger? Do you have last OS installed ?

by

Yep, im using original charger but im on iOS 9.3.5

The batteries are expanding of a manufacturing defect. Send it back to Apple with the replacement program that they have and they will give you a new iPhone battery for free.

I have already replaced the original battery that came with the phone with a new one about a year ago. But I don't understand why "the new battery" has expanded.

by

OP, this may be a dumb question but you are using sufficient adhesive to keep the battery in place right?

And about the logic board shorting I think it would only at worst cause the battery to drain faster really otherwise I don't think the phone would turn on if the short was severe.

Since you had it replaced more than once from the same supplier I suggest trying another one that is of higher quality if possible.

As I replace batteries on a daily basis I stick to a supplier that I have almost never any problems with in terms of iPhone batteries.

by

I'm actually not using sufficient adhesive. Is this the problem?

by

Might be, needs to be enough adhesive under the battery so that it doesn't physically move around when you put your hand on it and try to move it a bit.

Because I've seen batteries bloat due to the phone being dropped with cracked screen meaning physical damage.

Hi Danial

Get that Battery out of there, and I would buy another as well as that Buy a replacement Charge port (Original stuff). It is not a big job just follow the guides
