Where to get IMEI-less housings?

Hello,

I need to get some housing for a 5s. I need some with the Apple logo and iPhone logo, but without the IMEI. I have some for a 5c but I cannot find any for a 5s. Does anyone know where I could get one? Hopefully from the us?

I don't want to break any rules....but I can help.

But the places I order from don't exactly have websites I can link you to. Tell me what you need, ie: what color, how many, any specific markings, and I can probably help out.

The main problem is that you can't import products legally that have the Apple logo. Luckily I have friends in low places.

Usually you can get 3rd party ones without the IMEI (you can tell since where it says "iPhone" is in a slightly different font to original).

Try suppliers in China and tell them what you need, they will be the most likely ones to get these (message alibaba/aliexpress suppliers). It used to be easy to get these without IMEIs, but I can see the market is now flooded with these since they are most likely excess stock from when these were produced on the assembly line(?)

Easiest thing might be to just tell your customers they will have a different IMEI number on the housing, since they are original and due to the age of the parts.

@reecee i don't have customers lol, I just refurbish phones and sell them on ebay

@gigabit87898 my bad :) If you buy parts in your country, sellers on eBay would usually list them for cheaper, like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-iPhone-5s-...

As @joshw says, it is risky importing anything with an Apple logo from China, as there is a chance it can be seized, so the safer option is ordering from eBay and messaging a bunch of suppliers for what you need. If you do decide to import from China, the supplier will usually cover up any Apple logos to help prevent issues with customs. I personally don't import anything with an Apple logo from China, just to be safe

@reecee i see a lot of listings on eBay that are a housing but instead that have been photoshopped to hide the iPhone and Apple logo with a pic that just says "OEM LOGO" do you think these are trustworthy?

by

@gigabit87898 the sellers do this so the listings are less likely to get removed from eBay. Send them a message (possibly with a picture too, so you can make the point clear) to say you want one which has the Apple logo, says "iphone" but has no IMEI number. Just so you know, if you want no IMEI number on the housing, it will not have any writing under where it says "iphone", since this is done at the same time.
