ASUS UX305UA - time till boot starts varies a lot

Hi,

I have a quite new (like 2 months) Ultrabook Asus UX305UA. These are my specs:

Intel Core i5 6200U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Intel HD, Windows 10 Home

Performance is great, just one thing is weird:

after pressing the power key it randomly takes time between 1 and 20 seconds to turn on the Laptop Screen and show the ASUS-boot logo. Check (time during logo shows) and startup is always fast.

Just the time till the boot logos varies. I cannot find a pattern, sometimes it shows instantly, sometimes it needs a lot of time.

I already set BIOS settings to default. ASUS Smart Update says, that the BIOS is up to date.

Settings:

Advanced

  • Internal Pointing Device: Enabled
  • Wake On Lid Open: Enabled
  • Intel Virtualization Technology: Enabled
  • AES-NI: Enabled
  • VT-d: enabled
  • Graphic Settings -> DVMT Pre-Avvolcated 32M
  • SMART-Settings -> Self Test: Disabled (no HDD)
  • SATA-Mode: AHCI
  • Network Stack: Disabled
  • USB -> Legacy USB Support: Enabled, USB Mass Storage Driver Support: Enabled

Boot:

  • Fast Boot: Enabled

There is no USB-device inserted (or there is no difference) and the Laptop doesn't have an DVD/CD-Drive.

Is this a common problem? Or may there be a hardware problem?

Thank you in advance!

Eric

Is it alwys the same situation when you start the laptop? Is it always a cold start or have you sometimes just closed the lid of the laptop or done a restart?

It never occures when waking up from Standby.

It feels like its happening more often if the PC was shutdown some time (24 hrs), but it happened on restart sometimes.
