alexpatsimas13 skip the rice, it does not work. Check on here for a bit off an explanation. Rice is the equivalent of doing nothing. The longer you leave it in rice, the greater your chance of the phone corroding and never to come on again.

As with any immersion, the importance is to not turn it on, or trying to sync/charge it, as this may increase the likelihood of shortcircuiting any components. Remove the battery, and disassemble it right down to the motherboard . Use this guide to clean your phone. It was written for an iPhone but all the points still pertain to your phone as well. Clean everything with isopropyl alcohol (at least 90%+) and a soft brush, including all connectors and cable ends. Check for any burned or missing components. You may have to repeat this step a couple of times. Once it is cleaned, reassemble it and replace the battery, then reevaluate for any real damage. Water damage is the hardest to repair since virtually any part can have failed.
