MacBook turns off abruptly, can't find what's wrong

Hello!

I have a problem with my Macbook Pro. About 5-6 times a day, it turns of and restarts. It shows an error screen and shuts down.

I've tried formatting it, tried both RAMs one by one, tried resetting everything Apple recommends and now I've put a temperature monitoring software, that shows that my CPU temperature is idling at 80 Celsius degrees. I don't what else to do.

Any ideas?

Update (12/01/2016)

Chosen Solution

The panic call implies you have a bad VRAM chip (video RAM) or via path or solder joint. nothing to do with DRAM (system RAM).

  • Memory offset: cpu 2 caller 0xffffff7f846a5bce

Sadly, this will require someone with the correct equipment to replace the bad VRAM chip. Here's an image of the logic board: MacBook Pro logic board. The 4 Samsung K4J52324K1 VRAM chips are on the top edge.

I would replace the logic board which I think is the better option here.

Did the tech submit the crash report to Apple for a full debug of the crash reports? Hopefully before they put the system into Vintage status - Apple Obsoletes Mid 2010 15-Inch and 17-Inch MacBook Pros. As that would be the only way to know for sure.
