My grinder has died without warning. Could I fix it?

The grinder doesn't start. It is only two years old but used most days. It showed no warning signs and was grinding well. Any suggestions?

The simplest on/off coffee grinders are an electric cord going to a motor, geared to the grinding blade. Mine died two weeks after I bought it, I opened it up, saw a resistor soldered into the cord, there is no reason for this, it is part of the planned obsolescence, it blows at some point when the grinder gets pushed just a bit harder. So I cut it out and reconnected the wire. It’s been working for years now.
