Weird restore issue loop

Hi everyone.

iPhone 5s with a black blank screen. Connect to iTunes and it detects in recovery mode. Run the restore and it appears fine, the progress bar completes then the phone turns off.

The phone doesn't turn back on to complete the restore. It turns on but is back in recovery mode with a black screen. iTunes then states phone detected in recovery mode.

Any ideas how to fix?

have you tried restoring it in dfu mode?

if not, dfu mode is holding power+home, then releasing power after ~15 seconds

It seems to be in a DFU mode loop. The screen is black and iTunes states it is in recovery mode.

I've tried using Reiboot to kick it out of recovery mode but it doesn't recognise that it's in recovery mode. Maybe because its in DFU mode.
