Changing iPhones I dropped sims card in water for 20 min

I was changing phones when I dropped my sims card and didn't see it had landed in my water about 20 mins before I finally found it and not sure if I should put it in my new iPhone 7

If the sim card dropped in the water only it is harmless just dry it up with something and put it in the phone.
