Tablet got wet & won't charge or switch on...

LONG STORY SHORT - the tablet got dropped in the bath.

It got dried & then plugged in to the power & then nothing... Once i found out what happened I put it in my box of rice & there the TAB stayed for 5 days. But nothing!!

Yes the camera was being used to take a picture of the bubbles in a bath !!!!!

Panic then ensued to get it dry before Mum finds out...

I am new to this site so just need to find an Ifixit certified tech to take a look.

Thanks for the response.

Think as a way of making the picture taker learn a hard life lesson, the repair may take a while :-)

Good Afternoon Bridget,

If the device was powered on when it was dropped into the tub, or was powered up while still wet then there likely has been damage done to the logic board. That would explain why it will no longer power on. Of course before jumping to conclusions you should have an iFixit Certified Tech take a look at it. I hope this helps.
