@paragon_ no they are not. The caps look good. If it would be bulged, the seams would have opened up (even just partially).

Hi, Why do you suspect that a capacitor may be faulty? What item of equipment are you having problems with? As @refectio says it is better to remove the capacitor and test it to definitely prove whether it is faulty or not. using an LCR & ESR meter

Thanks oldturkey03, that was helpful.

Jayeff, I am having problem with a washing machine board, but just did not want to remove anything at first because the whole thing is covered with silicon. Thank you

When in doubt switch it out . To test it is to pull it so just switch it out . the capacitor doesnt look like its broken a seam but it does look like its leaking . Use a magnifying glass and check for a break in the seam close to the center where the red is on the seam as for bulging you need to provide a side view for that

Thanks for your answer Jimfixer. The red at the top seems to be some sort of paint. I was just wondering because the seam gap looks a a bit too deep, so I asked for opinions before anything since the whole board is covered by silicon.

The red top could be ink or something else. Generally, leaking electrolyte will not leave a red residue. If you want to be certain, remove the capacitor and test it with a multimeter that has capacitance or even better with an LCR meter.

A side view would be better but the capacitor does not look bulged.

yea...a side view would help a lot. I don't see any leakage but I can't tell if any are bulging. Like Minho said, its best to throw a meter on them just to be sure.

Thanks for your answer Minho. I just did not want to remove it at first.
