My MacBook rejects os x 10.7!

i had os x 10.6 on my macbook core 2duo,when i wanted to upgrade it to os x 10.7 it wouldnt boot then so what i did is erasing the hard disk manually,finally i tried to install windows 7 but unfortinatly it didnt accept it.

We need to know exactly which machine you have. The early C2D MacBook Pros max out at 10.6.8.

Let's back up here you want to upgrade to OS-X Lion 10.7 correct? Why are you messing around with MS Windows! All you'll do is make more of a mess getting the system up and running.

So do you have a retail version CD of Lion or are you using a USB or FireWire drive? If you are using a USB or FireWire drive it needs to be bootable to install the OS.
