The film will not release when I pull up the wind lever. I have tried gently prying it open at the same time as lifting the wind lever but that doesn't work. I want to try and use a paper clip down the wind shaft to release it but the wind lever is in the way and I don't know how to get the pin out. Can I just push the pin down the shaft?

Emma, Rubber seal may be sticking. push in on door while pulling release and and then pulling the door open at the same time and seeing if it is just stuck by the foam seal. One forum suggested and worked for stuck door was to seal in plastic bag and put in freezer for 3 hours and then try door. Below are a couple links that may help. Good luck.
