Luminous line running across the bottom of screen when on.

When the TV is on, at the bottom of the screen, where the subtitles usually appear, there is a a flashing line running from one side of the screen to the other. There is picture and sound and apart from this problem everything else looks fine!

callistheni is this a straight line? Thick or thin line? Post a couple of pictures with your question of what you are looking at. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. It will allow us to see what you see. Could be a panel issue as well as a gate driver issue.
