With the original screen plugged in, does the touch screen fail to work as well? or did it stop working once you installed the new screen? If you have tried multiple screens, and the touch still doesn't work, i would take a look at the motherboard to see if any of the connectors are damaged

This isn't a problem with screen of iphone but with touch sensors that is on motherboard. Check for any videos in iFixit how to replace touch sensors of iphone that you have.

May be your touch IC is dead.

Try cleaning the cleaning the connectors on the board and the screen with a toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol.

Make sure they are seated well, and make a satisfying click when put in place.

Inspect the cables for pinches or tears, especially close to where they connect with the lcd. Just a little bending there can cause failure.

Potentially look for a third screen to do a definitive test.
