If I'm missing screws when replacing my screen will it Still work?

Will my phone still work if I misplaced a couple screws?

Only a rookie would lose screws!

Just kidding. I drop screws, they get stuck to my fat arm, sometimes I even manage to launch them when I pinch them in my tweezers. If it were my own phone, I wouldn't even think twice about losing a couple of the little son of a guns. iPhones have nearly 50 screws and that is way more than is needed.

Now I want to rip an iPhone apart and see just how few are really needed. I bet it would be fine with half the screws gone.

It can. The ones around the plate for the display cables are all different sizes, and if you put the wrong screw in the wrong place, it can damage the logic board, and cause major problems. Without a micrometer, it would be very difficult to tell which one goes where. If you can't sort them, try using the shortest ones, and get the plate back on
