Why do my pictures look like they aren't finished developing?

Hello,

I purchased the Fujifilm Instax Mini 25 a couple years ago when it first came out. Firstly, when I had used it the summer I purchased it the film came out blurry for some reason, so I was wondering why that happens. I hadn't touched the camera for a year or two, and just started to use it again. My main problem now is that the film develops much lighter than before, or compared to the pictures that are taken with my friend's fujifilm instax mini. It looks as if it hasn't been fully developed. I was wondering if that was a problem with my camera or the film itself. Thank you!

Hi,

Have you tried adjusting the darkness/lightness setting on the camera to see if it improves the picture?

Here is a link to the user guide, scroll down to lighten/darken control to check how to adjust the setting.

If the setting appears to be correct you may have to try another film pack to prove whether the problem is with the film or the camera. Try to get a film pack which shows (hopefully) a different 'batch' number on the pack in case it was a faulty batch that you were using.
