itunes error 9, 21...what are my options?

I am very sorry about the extremely long description but I wanted to give the full story.

About two months ago I happened upon 2 broken iPhone 3G's....one had a cracked screen and broken LCD and the other kept giving error 23 when restoring so was completely useless. See this thread on hackint0sh (http://www.hackint0sh.org/f148/150803.ht...)

I took the display assembly out of the iphone with the restoring issue and installed it in the other iPhone. Everything seemed to work perfectly. However after a few days it spontaneously entered a reboot loop...often just ending up on a whit screen. When I repeatedly rebooted it, it eventually booted up normally. So I restored a few more times (it gave me many errors but I persisted (21 was common I think)) and eventually these issues stopped...until about two weeks ago.

Every once in a while it decided to go on a reboot loop but until today I had no problem just holding home and sleep a few times to eventually get it back to normal.

Today it entered a very familiar reboot loop and I just cant get it out. Errors 9 and 21 are very common when restoring. There are few others which I will edit this with. I have tried dfu and regular restore mode countless times.

So basically I have still got the carcass of the other broken iphone mentioned above.

Is there any way I could use the parts which are still useful to bring this phone back to life.

Again sorry for the extreme length of the question. I would really sincerely appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance,

James

check out the specific error codes section on this page... usb/dock connector could be problem or your security software.(for error 9 an 21)

error 23 is ? radio/software. have found a shop in uk that says is able to fix this... am waiting for them to get back to me about my phone... will let you know....

Thank you vey much for your help...I will try a few things with error 9/ 21 in mind and post back here.

Please do let me know about the error 23 repair. I live in Ireland so it would be very possible for me to send it there.

Follow my original link - most of your error codes are for USB... Take good lookat both cable ends and your dock. Then look at computer software/security/iTunes. It's a really good guide
